The Firm of M/s Hin Tat Augustine & Partners has 18 lawyers, and is managed by the 2 Principal Partners, namely Mr Tan Hin Tat and Mr Augustine Soh.

The Firm has established 3 principal areas of practice namely, litigation & dispute resolution, corporate & commercial and real estate. The Firm also offers advisory services on Intellectual Property, including copyright and trademark protection, trademark registration in Singapore, and intellectual property infringements. The Firm advises and assists clients in their businesses in drafting agreements for franchises, licenses and trade & business confidentiality.
With the evolution of technology and the push for globalisation, the Firm is continually expanding and evolving its practice groups. In line with this vision of entrenching itself as a serious player in cross border transactions, the Firm is closely associated with Dr Theodore Strohal of the firm of Strohal Legal Group Pte Ltd, a senior lawyer based in Austria. He is qualified to practice law in the Austria and Germany. He is responsible for all aspects of corporate commercial work and his team of lawyers also engages in litigation practice.
Padang Trust Singapore Pte Ltd ("Padang Trust") was incorporated by our 2 senior partners, Messrs Tan Hin Tat and Augustine Soh, to provide trust services, thereby extending the firm's wealth management practice. Logistically, the Firm is well equipped with the latest in information and technology. With a view to improving the efficiency and service rendered to clients, the entire Firm has its own server and is linked up with intra and internet capabilities.
Apart from a library with a comprehensive range of text books and up-to-date law reports and statutes, the Firm also subscribes to various online legal research databases for the latest in local case law and legislation.
Further, in line with the judiciary’s implementation of the Electronic Filing System (“EFS”), the Firm has also set up the entire electronic system within the office to facilitate the filing and service of Court documents. The Firm was also one of the first to adopt the EFS Web-based system, to cope with the higher volume of transactions.
